Our aim is to take pleasure in the exercise, fresh air, local countryside and points of interest as well as meeting and enjoying the company of fellow walkers.  Therefore the walks will not be a race from start to finish, but be undertaken at the pace of the slowest walker.  Depending on the skills within the Groups, added interest will be gained from understanding the local flora and fauna, map reading, geology etc.  Where possible, the walks will finish near a pub or tea room for those who wish to end the walk with refreshment.

The Group meets just to enjoy ourselves and no background skill is needed.
The lockdown meant we haven't met for a while but now in 2022 we intend to resume our activities. As you can see by the advert, we have achieved a lot already

You would be very welcome if you wish to join us.

We are a friendly group who are lucky enough to have a local artist on hand to inspire and to teach. We not only like to paint but to explore and experiment with various media and techniques.
September 2021 saw us return to face to face meetings and for those of us who used Zoom, the paints came out and we started by looking at backgrounds. Those of the group who didn't use Zoom have been looking at some of the drawing techniques that were covered and have looked at portraits and methods of scaling up pictures using the grid method.

During last season we enjoyed some very good weather with only a couple of rainy days, which still did not deter a number of members coming along to bowl. We welcomed back all our regulars as well as many new faces.
Once again we had a very nice away day at the Nursery Inn, a good day of bowling with breaks for coffee and lunch.
Bowling commenced again in March this year and we are looking forward to seeing our usual group and welcoming anybody who would like to come and join us for exercise, fresh air and fun.

Cafe Book Club
We have a place available for our Monday morning book group, presently meeting at Plumcake Cafe in Bramhall precinct.
