December 2019 Report: View
The group has continued to meet weekly in each other’s homes, with a regular attendance of 6–8
members, and we really enjoy and benefit from our Spanish lessons together. We are continuing to
study Read and Think Spanish by McGraw Hill and find the material very informative, although the
vocabulary is challenging at times. The themes introduced have led us to listen to a variety of South
American folk music, both for singing and dancing. We continue with grammar work as we feel the
need, with input from group members, but still feel the lack of a teacher when encountering
difficulties.
We continue with our endeavours to improve our spoken Spanish, covering a variety of subjects
orally. Our aim this coming year is to widen our vocabulary so that we can speak Spanish more
confidently, without needing to refer to prepared material.
