The badminton group now consists of up to 16 members. We are a mixed ability group who enjoy meeting up for exercise and social interaction each Tuesday between 1.15 and 3.45 pm. We play in the large ground floor hall at the Community Centre on Lumb Lane in Bramhall.
We play doubles as there is only one court, but usually manage to get at least 5 games each during the session. We would like to trial starting at 1pm for beginners who wish to receive some coaching, or just to come along to see if it is something to try.
The beginners session would be for the first half an hour, but new players could stay for the full session if they wish. Please email the Co-ordinator (details above) if you would like to give it a try.
We play for 50 weeks of the year, having a break over the Christmas and New Year period.
We arrange two social outings for a meal each year, one in the summer and the other, usually, just after Christmas.
The price for the sessions is usually £3.

December 2019 Report: View
The Badminton Group has welcomed a couple of new members this year and we regularly have 10-12 members playing each week. Numbers can vary and when we have 12+ we can change the scoring system to suit.
We adopted the modern scoring system this year which, after a few hiccups, has meant more enjoyable matches.
Whilst the most important reason for playing is to enjoy yourself playing badminton, we also enjoy talking to each other and sharing thoughts.
We arrange meals out together twice a year and are working our way through the various eateries in the area.
New members are always welcome, the only requirement we set is ENJOY YOURSELF.
