Art Appreciation Group


Summary Come and learn more about particular artists, styles of art, the historical context plus later we will visit art exhibitions with a guide. There will be a varied programme of talks, projected pictures of art paintings, and shared participation.
Venue 2pm every 2nd Wednesday of the Month at the Village Club, Lumb Lane. £2 per meeting

Coin a Caption

To highlight the fact that there is a vacancy for a co-ordinator in the Art Appreciation Group, and to keep interest in the group alive, we invite any member to suggest a caption for this picture.
Email your entry to Barrie Roberts with "Coin a Caption" as the subject. Name and Membership Number too please.
A free gift will be sent to any member who submits an entry.

Please note: Attention will be paid to grammar, spelling and cleanliness as well as to humour and it is expected that some of the better captions will appear here.

Visitors view a blank canvas that is part of "Take the Money and Run" by Jens Haaning at the Kunsten Museum of Modern Art in Aalborg, Denmark. The museum gave the artist the equivalent of $84,000 to create "modern art" but this was not what they expected.
